We are a small, established English language school in the Canadian Rocky Mountains. We are surrounded by nature. Over 14 years, Banff Education Centre has helped students achieve their goals in an interesting and exciting way.
The Banff Education Centre offers diverse programs for students of all ages with a focus on mixing in-class and out-of-class activities. We focus on environmental issues and professions. We have a philosophy of combining practice in the community with nature and classroom instruction.

The School
For over 14 years, Banff Education Centre has helped students achieve their goals. Banff Education Centre is a 5 minute walk to downtown Canmore. We have small classes (maximum 10 students in a class) and our student population is between 25 to 75 students at one time. Students enjoy free wireless and free computer use in either our computer lounge or our computer lab.
Unique Professional Focus
Our professional programs focus on tourism and the natural environment. We provide a combination of in-class lessons, outdoor academic opportunities, workplace practicums and programs to improve specific language skills.
Professional And Caring Instructors
All of the teachers at Banff Education Centre are TESL Canada certified or in the process of getting their TESL Canada Certification. At BEC, you will meet unforgettable teachers who truly care.
Students
Join a small group of focused students striving for challenging improvements in their English ability as they enjoy the advantages of the friendly talkative community. From August 2009 to August 2010, the student nationalities where: Swiss (36%), Japanese (30%), French/French Canadian (19%), Korean (8%), Mexican (5%), and other (8.5%).

Population: 12,005 Permanent. 5,567 Non-Permanent/Second Home Owners.
Location: It is about 1 hour drive from Calgary, 20 minutes from the town of Banff and 5 minutes drive from Banff National Park. The town centre elevation is 1309 metres with surrounding summits reaching heights of 2936 metres.
Prime Mountain Recreation: Over 71 kilometres of multi-use trails within the town limits, World Class Canmore Nordic Centre, 5 major ski resorts, hiking, scrambling, climbing, mountain biking, kayaking, canoeing, rafting, combine to provide a endless array of outdoor activity options.
